Research Assistant for Impact Evaluation Projects in South Asia

The Chair of Econometrics at the University of Mannheim is looking for a research assistant to provide thorough support on Impact Evaluation projects taking place in South Asia. The projects aim to measure data on children, education and health.

Your tasks would include:

  • Data cleaning and analysis with STATA (and R)

  • Coordination and support of data collection

  • Assistance in workshops and meetings

  • Literature reviews on relevant topics

  • Writing reports

  • Developing program monitoring tools and indicators
  • If needed travelling to Pakistan

Your profile

You are a Master student of Economics with a strong interest in quantitative methods, data collection and conducting surveys. You have a very strong command of English.

In your curricular and extra-curricular activities you have proven organization and planning skills. You feel comfortable with working independently in dynamic settings and communicating in teams. You could start working as soon as possible. You are much embedded in the projects, which requires full involvement.

You will work within a team of professional project managers and experienced researchers and gain hands-on experience on how to conduct large-scale surveys, and monitor and evaluate ongoing programs.
